Our friends and supporters are important to us. Our aim is to communicate with you in a way that makes you want to stay involved with us; to let you see the value and impact of your support. We care about your data privacy and security. You are in control of your relationship with us. 

 

What information does Global Projects for Peace keep?

We keep your first name, last name, and email address and your country of residence. 

We keep track of your donations and the projects you support.

Your country of residence is kept if we have it from your payment information.

 

How does Global Projects for Peace get my information?

We receive the following information when you donate:

 

Credit card donations. Your name, email address, mailing address, amount of donation, and the purpose of the donation come to us from our service provider, Authorize.net. We do not receive your credit card information. (see Authorize.net Privacy Policy here) - unless you give it to us by phone to charge your card on your behalf.

 

PayPal donations. Your name, email, and the amount and purpose of your donation come to us from Paypal. Again, we do not receive your credit card information. (See PayPal Privacy Policy here)

 

Check or cash donations. Your name, email address, and country are found on your Global Projects for Peace donation form (see here) or from your check. 

 

Wire donations. Your name and information come from your wire form sent to our bank.

We also receive your information when you request us to send you newsletters via our website. For example via the sign-up box on this page.

 

How do you use my information?

Respecting your privacy, we never rent, sell, or share your data.

We do use your data to…

- Send you “Thank You” messages and receipts for your donations. 

- Email updates on the progress and success of projects supported by donations made to Global Projects for Peace - if you have given us permission to do this. 

- Inform you when finances are needed either for ongoing expenses or for special projects - if you have given us permission to do this.

Note: In order to send you updates and inspiration, we add your name and email address to our contacts list on iContact, the service provider for our emails. You may view iContacts Privacy Policy here.

 

How do I cancel or update my information?

You can click on "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email communication. We will remove your information immediately from our email contact list. You will no longer receive emails from us.

Note: For tax purposes, we are required to keep your donation information for at least 7 years. 

 

Do I have the right to know what information Global Projects for Peace has about me?

You have the right to know all the information Global Projects for Peace has on file for you as specified in the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Personal Information from surveys etc.

From time-to-time Global Projects for Peace may obtain personal information from users via requests for information, surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as postal code, age).

Contact information will be used to contact clients - or, in the case of contests, to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of our web site and business services.
